Atelier Ping Jiang | EID Arch was Selected for the 2021 AD100 List by Architectural Digest
The AD100 list was recently officially announced, and Atelier Ping Jiang | EID Arch was included in the 2021 AD100 new list. EID Arch's Founder and Design Principal, Ping Jiang , was invited to attend the 2021 AD100 & Architectural Digest's 10th Anniversary Celebration. The event took place on the evening of November 10 at the Tank Shanghai Art Center.
The AD100 list was established in 2013 and is published every two years. It selects the 100 most influential architects and interior designers, both domestic and international, in China. It is one of the most influential industry lists in China and one of the most highly regarded architectural designer rankings internationally.
This year, the AD100 list was published for the first time in the form of a hardcover book. One of the projects from Jiang Ping Studio selected for inclusion is the Tibet Metok Meteorological Center, which has been described as a "cloud architecture on the southern Tibetan border." The remote geographic location of Metok posed significant challenges to both design and construction. The design approach involved remote intervention, making full use of local building methods, materials, and craftsmanship to achieve a contemporary architectural expression rooted in the region's unique context.
