Shanghai Metro Line 17 Xujing Road Station TOD development project is located in the central area of Qingpu New City, which is one of the core areas in Qingpu central area, and will be built into a public center of Qingpu central area together with the development of Metro Line 17.

Because of the existing metro section, there are a lot of restrictions and harsh conditions on the project. The designers dug out the logic of planning and design from the harsh site constraints. A rectangular framework containing retail, office and residential area is formed on the basis of the existing subway depot web. Different functions of different types of programs are integrated with the existing column network module of the car depot to build an efficient, simple, integrated and harmonious mixed-use community.

The design vision presents an urban environment that combines the site context with city, traffic, environment and ecology, and will become a brand-new model of the combination of smart city, low impact development and green buildings.
