Ping Jiang is the founder and design principal of EID Architecture, a leading practice for architecture and urbanism based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Jiang has worked extensively in the United States, Europe, and Asia through his career. His work aims to address the ever-changing urban conditions in China and beyond, confronting the challenges of complex urban realities and environmental issues with an impressive portfolio of projects across typologies and scales.
Ping Jiang have been awarded numerous international awards, including multiple AIA Design Awards, The Plan Award, WAF Awards, WAN Awards, LEAF Awards, etc. In 2022, Atelier Ping Jiang @ EID Arch won AIA International Firm Award. Ping Jiang was named to AD 100 by Architectural Digest as one of the 100 most influential designers working in China. Jiang’s work has been published in architectural journals internationally, i.e. Architectural Review, Domus, The Plan, DETAIL, MARK / FRAME, Canadian Architect. His work has been featured at international art exhibition and biennial, including Beijing Design Week 2015, SUSAS 2019, The City and the World 2021 in Athens, AIANY Design Awards Exhibition 2021 in AIA New York | Center for Architecture. Prior to founding EID Arch, Jiang was a principal partner at MAD, and worked as a studio head with SOM’s Chicago office prior to his return to China.
Michael Morgan is a British architect with extensive project experience in the United Kingdom, Australia, China and Hong Kong, and he works as a consulting design director at EID Architecture Hong Kong office. He has over 20 years working experience, predominantly in Asia where he has been involved on a multitude of projects, many of which are high profile award winning projects, large scale and complex in their requirements. He has particular expertise in the design of mixed-use developments, office towers, civic buildings, institutional facilities, retail developments, cultural projects and landscape architecture and is familiar with all stages of the design process from initial briefing sessions through to on site construction.
Prior to joining EID Arch, Michael has worked as associate design director / senior design architect for a few international architectural practice including Foster and Partners in London. He has been involved in the design of numerous high profile award winning projects in Asia and Europe, many of which have been published extensively in architectural publications and exhibited internationally.
