EID Arch was Invited to Participate in the 4th China Design Exhibition and the Public Art Special Exhibition
On February 20th, the 4th China Design Exhibition and the Public Art Special Exhibition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and the People's Government of Shenzhen, opened in Shenzhen. This year's exhibition, themed "New Starting Point · New Trends," is divided into two parts: the main exhibition and the Greater Bay Area special exhibition. They are being held at the Shenzhen Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Museum and the Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum, respectively. EID Arch's works, Minsheng Wharf E15-3 Block and Medog Meteorological Center, were invited to participate in the exhibition. This exhibition features a total of 122 cases and 1,331 works, using a variety of formats such as images, text, videos, 3D animations, and physical objects to present the themes and content of the cases from multiple dimensions. The aim is to promote the high-quality development of design and public art, making it a grand event in the fields of design and public art.
Minsheng Wharf E15-3 Block Urban Renewal Project deeply aligns with the exhibition theme "Benevolent Flow: Community Connectivity in the Post-Pandemic Era." By incorporating the concept of organic renewal, the project carefully examines the relationships between the surrounding urban areas, stitches together the new and old urban fabric, and redefines the spatial relationships within the block. This approach aims to optimize the urban layout and inject vitality into the urban space of the Pudong Minsheng Wharf riverside area.
Medog Meteorological Center participated in the "Poetic Dwelling: The Rebuilding of Rural Public Buildings" section of the exhibition. The project integrates the meteorological center's office functions with living spaces and public facilities that serve the local community. The architectural form incorporates traditional Tibetan architectural elements to achieve a contemporary expression of regional identity, while seamlessly blending with the existing town's cultural context and urban fabric.
