Atelier Ping Jiang @ EID Architecture has received 2022 AIA International Firm Award. Commended by the AIA International jury for excellence in architectural practice in recognition of exceptional contribution to the profession and society by providing a body of work at the forefront of international design, Atelier Ping Jiang @ EID Architecture is the first recipient from China mainland to receive this prestigious award. According to the 2022 AIA International Design Award Jury, “ Sensitive to local context and maintains design quality in a wide spectrum of budget criteria and scales to create meaningful places for people.”

As AIA's largest chapter in the world, the AIA International Region encompasses all areas outside of the United States. The AIA International Design Awards recognize best practices, innovative thinking, and design excellence of AIA members’ projects worldwide. The jury evaluates candidates based on how well they meet the firm award criteria, which include how firms have:

- demonstrated great depth and breadth in their work, having a cumulative effect on the profession of architecture

- produced work that is a product of a collaborative environment, consistently addressing the future of architecture while honoring its tradition

- transcended or united specific areas of expertise 

- become widely known—by architects, designers, educators, and the public—for the quality of their work.

Led by the founder and design principal Ping Jiang, EID Arch has been awarded numerous significant international awards in recent years including AIA Design Awards from its multiple chapters. EID Arch has also won 2022 A+ Firm Awards, Best of the Year-Asia, Special Mention, 2021 WAN Awards, Rising Star / Emerging Practice of the Year, shortlist and 2021 dezeen awards, emerging architecture studio of the year longlist.
